Dementia Cafe

Come along and join us at our new Dementia Café. For people with dementia and their carers to share information or simply have a cup of tea and a chat.

Every Fri 10.00am-12.00pm (Term Time Only) from 15th September 2017

Our group is welcoming and friendly.  We are open to every child under 5 and we offer a wide range of activities which are suitable for all children under 5.

As part of the session we offer physical play, song time and a healthy snack.

Run in conjunction with Newcastle Action for Parent and Toddler Groups Initiative (NAPI)

Cost: £1 per child (0-5)

Chilli Studios began in 2004 under the name NAGAS (Newcastle and Gateshead Art Studio) with the aim of providing creative-based services for people with mental health problems. The project promotes social inclusion, encourages social interaction, builds resilience, develops skills and abilities and enables potential.

Age UK runs friendly and welcoming dance and fitness classes for over 50’s. Classes run all year round on a pay as you go basis so pop along and try it.

Sessions provide a great chance to stay fit and active, learn new skills, meet new people and make friends, as well as grow in confidence. With one of the best sprung dance floors in Newcastle, it is the perfect location to learn a new style of dance or take one up again.

Tap Dancing: Monday 9.45-10.15. This is a class for those who can already tap dance. Just turn up and join in! £1.50 per session.

Line Dancing: Monday 10.30-11.30. Wednesday 10.15 – 11.15 adn 11.20 – 12.20. Come along and join our friendly line dancing classes. Not quite sure of the steps? A volunteer will stay with you until you feel confident to join in. Just turn up. £4 per session.

Sequence dancing. A great way to keep fit, meet new friends and maybe even bump into some old ones!

For everyone who enjoys classical music. This is not highbrow, but mostly classics, played on CD.

The group meets every Wednesday from 1pm – 3pm with a break for tea.
